Summer vacation
in the center of Innsbruck, in the heart of the Alps
The Absteige is only a 9-minute walk away from the city center and is surrounded by the beautiful Alps. Here you can enjoy nature and at the same time take advantage of Innsbruck’s cultural program. Hiking, sightseeing, cycling, going out, swimming, shopping, climbing, eating ice cream, visiting museums. It will be a fun vacation for everyone!
Hiking, climbing
or strolling
The Absteige is only a few minutes’ walk away from the forest, so you can start hiking right from the front door. If you want, even up to the summit over 2300 meters in altitude! From the two local mountains, Nordkette and Patscherkofel, you can get back to the Absteige via a short bus ride.
Innsbruck is also an excellent place for climbing, be it in the climbing center, on via ferratas or climbing gardens.
Sightseeing, nightlife & culture
From the Absteige you can easily explore Innsbruck by foot. The old town as well as numerous museums, bars, restaurants and cafes are in the immediate vicinity. You can also go on a shopping spree in the city center.
In summer, the Heart of Noise Festival and the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music attract a wide variety of music lovers.
Cycling, mountain biking & downhill
115 km of designated mountain bike trails promise a lot of cycling fun for advanced cyclists and beginners. There is a bike park and numerous trails that can be explored with the Bike City Card. There are various pleasure bike paths in and around Innsbruck and race bike fans will also get their money’s worth in Tyrol. If you feel like getting into a festival atmosphere with your bike, it’s best stopping by the Crankworx Festival.
Schwimming
& relaxation
You don’t even have to decide on an activity, because at our neighbour Riedz Apartments there is always a private garden waiting for you to relax at the end of the day (Use is at your own risk. We assume no liability!).
If you like splashing about, the Baggersee (accessible by bike) or the Lansersee (tram line 6) are lovely destinations for excursions.

Alone or in a group, you can live comfortably in the Absteige.
You can choose between the single room Schnapsidee and the apartment Farbtopf (max. 7 people) or Fettnäpfchen (max. 4 people). The apartments are spread over 2 buildings and in the neighborhood (Riedz Apartments) you can do your laundry, relax in the green and stock up on delicacies.
